About the class: This is a beginner/Intermediate reformer quad session. Concentrating on the beginner exercises and progressing to the intermediate level. This class is open to students who have completed their 3 private sessions and have taken 10 beginner group sessions. About the teacher: Shannon Lynch began studying yoga in 1984 going on to live and certify at Kripalu Center in 1993. At that time she also became involved in the Raw Foods Nutritional movement, working as a chef and consultant. Travel brought her to New Mexico where she lived in an intentional community and was the front person/lead singer for a 13 piece internationally touring performance troupe. During that time Shannon discovered Pilates as a way of core strengthening and felt a profound improvement and ease come into her stage work (not to mention handling road-weariness!). She then went on to become certified through Momentum Studio under Aline Alexander and has taught for 6 years. Shannon also works extensively with breath work through both Pilates and Pranayama techniques and teaches a unique meditation process based on years of study and practice.
